  1. You makethe most wearable designs on the Web – I’m looking forward to starting my Ribby, and I just might have to add this to my list! Thanks, Bonne Marie!

  2. what a gorgeous surprise! i love, love, love it… the lacey panels, the shaping, the collar. i’ve got to pick up the speed on ribby cardi #2 and start this one!!

  3. WOW!!!!!—yes I meant to yell. Love it and you sure know how to keep a girl coming back for more and more. Will probably download this baby soon!!!!! You are awsome!

  4. Mother of God and all Her wacky nephews!!!
A girl can’t have too many sexy cardis…know what I mean?

  5. Nice! What a great design. Must get through some current projects before plotting and scheming this new one…

  6. Oh how you tempt, Bonne Marie… I can’t wait to get this sucker on my needles… should be ready to do so in a week or so.

  8. I regularly keep track of what is published in mainstream knitting magazines, and your designs are consistently better–more wearable, more flattering, more of what I think most knitters want…to spend what little time we have to knit making something that we will look beautiful in and want to wear. Thank you for sharing your designs and doing what I imagine is a lot of less than fun behind the scenes work to bring them to all of us!

  9. very dreamy…great another thing on my list of things to do…Oh why did I wait so long to start knitting again…

  10. Love it! I’m still working on Cece, but I want the specs anyway. Can you tell us if its knit in the round or in pieces? I can’t tell from the photo, are the sleeves set-in?

    Thanks!

  11. Bonne, this is just what I’ve been looking for. I even have the Selkirk to make it! I bought it last year and just haven’t found the right pattern until now. I’ll have it on the needles by week’s end. Thanks!

  12. Bonne Marie, you have done it again! It’s just beautiful! I see a knitalong for this one. And I’m going to have to make this my must-knit for myself this fall!

  13. Bonne Marie, I love your designs! I’ve knit many for friends and family but never for ME! Why? because you never size them big enough. I know to the slender amongst us 45.5″ seems huge but even VOGUE is including up to a 50″ in their patterns!! I don’t mean to sound like a whinging pratt but please consider some sizing for the fluffy? :)

  14. You’ve done it again! I love this sweater. As soon as the baby gives me a minute to go get my credit card, I’m ordering it. (No more paypal? I seem to remember using paypal for past orders)

  15. Bonnie Marie, you just rocked my world. Not only is Ariann beautiful, but the specs had my favorite phrase: “knit in one piece.” I am SO ordering this pattern!!!

  16. Wow! This is just beautiful, Bonne Marie. Well done. I love all that all the funky individual elements (big buttons, skinny tie belt, great big collar) add up to such a classy, wearable sweater. Great design!

  17. It’s lovely. I’ve just downloaded the pattern. Can you offer some suggestions for warm weather yarn substitutions? i’m thinking a blend that would work in the fall/winter down south. Beautiful design!!

  18. WOWOWOWOWOW
i was just LAST NIGHT looking at a sweater in a tv show – now don’t get upset – on Miss Marple – but it was the New version with G McEwan and she had on a great 50’s (very retro for now) cardigan and i was saying – I reallllly want that sweater – and lo and behold – here is yours – VERY similar in design – hers has a little more lacieness but hey a pattern in hand is worth … well whatever

anyway, just bought it – and also curious as to why no paypal? just wondering cuz its so easy .

oh well now to shop the stash – hmmm. maybe that Peruvian Baby Cashmere i’ve been saving.

  19. Wow, it’s just gorgeous. I really want to knit this! But I already have waaaay too many projects on my list. But the lace stripes, the big buttons, the collar, the delicate little tie, all are calling out to me….

  20. Just in time for ChristmaHanuKwanza!
My sister is going to flip. (And I might just have to make one for myself to…because I’ve only been a little bit naughty this year.)
    ; )
You knocked another one outta the park BonneMarie. Good on ya, girl!

  21. I am in the middle of my first ribby cardi, and my sister started hers after she saw mine in mid-knit…and now we’re going to have to make this one! It think it’s going to cut in line in front of the ribby shell that I was supposed to have finished for the fall. I love your designs, they are so pretty.
