  1. Why do I love knitting? Knitting soothes the troubled mind, kindles one’s creative imagination and inspires gentle thoughts of my mother, who taught me how to knit when I was three years old. Thanks, Mom.

  2. I live knitting because it’s just fun! It’s a portable and non messy craft. And the yarn is so pretty!

  3. I love knitting because it relaxes me and helps me focus in other areas of my life. Its very meditative and improves my mental state.

  4. I love to knit because it relaxes me, focuses me and allows me to make something lovely in the midst of time when I feel like all I do is make messes.

  5. I had to wait for 40 years to be able to knit and learn new stitches….finally retired. Now I gave 15 things going and can hardly wait to start another….HAPPY KNITTING

  6. I LOVE knitting for its portability (keeps me from getting bored in a wide variety of settings and situations), the meditative quality of the repetitive motion (OHM…), and the vast potential for beautiful and satisfying end results. Oh, and because it makes me feel like a KNITTING BOSS.

  7. I love knitting because it’s better than therapy! It’s relaxing and occupies the brain so much you can’t be worried or stressed. :)

  8. I love knitting because I like to start with the individual ingredients (yarn, pattern, needles) and arrive at the finished project – I never get tired of it

  9. I love how knitting lets you both concentrate on the task and at the same time let your mind wander — it’s like bonus time!

  10. I love knitting because I can make things for the people I love, it is portable, and I think of my mother (she taught me to know when I was very little) every time I pick up my needles.

  11. I love knitting because it’s is like magic. You take some sticks, some string and… voila! you have clothing.

also, it helps to keep the monkey part of my brain busy/distracted, so that I can focus better on important stuff (like university classes, conversations, movies, meetings and audiobooks).

  12. I love knitting because after teaching all day it helps me relax and unwind. The best part is, of course, that I also end up with something beautiful at the end!

  13. Knitting enhances the bond between my mom and myself since she’s taught me almost everything I know about knitting. As an added bonus, it also saves my sanity!

  14. I love knitting because it gives me a creative outlet in my otherwise structured, suburbian life. It’s also a way for me to tell my kids that I love them.

  15. Because I can knit red things. And all the other great colors, just the way I want them. Also, it keeps me sane. Therapy with sticks. :)

  16. I love knitting because I can make beautiful
sweaters that actually fit my body.
Which is petite. In whatever color I choose.
What’s not to love about that!

  21. I love knitting because it brings peace to my soul from the busyness of life. It is so cool to be able to create things that are useable, wearable and comforting from yarn.

  22. I knit because it keeps me stress free and it makes me feel great when I accomplish something and have snow end product

  23. I love knitting because it’s relaxing and rhythmic. I really enjoy the process of looking at patterns and yarns and the anticipation of starting a new project,… and the sense of achievement when I finish a project. So many gorgeous yarns to drool over and have the joy of working with.

  24. I love to knit because it is soothing and relaxing. It is fun to see how the finished object turns out.
