  1. I love knitting because it lets me spend time doing something that stays done! And it’s tactile and creative.

  2. Well, why do I love knitting? There are just to many ways. Most of all because I love the ultimate outcome. A sweater, socks, hats, just so many things. The list is endless and the admiration of friends and family when i finish a project is good for the sole (no pun intended). Lol

  3. I love knitting because it gives me something to do with my hands and my mind together to focus myself – and I get to make something beautiful out of it as well!

  4. I love knitting because of all of the fabulous yarns and patterns available today. The textures are amazing! Knitting allows creativity, a chance to learn new skills and best of all sharing time and ideas with friends.

  5. I love knitting because I can create something with my hands that is lovely and I can knit love into each stitch. It gives me a sense of accomplishment everytime I finish something be it hard or easy.

  6. Kniting is my happy place. When I need a pick me up my needles and yarn make me feel good. I get a sense of accompaniment making someone a gift they love and get to cast on again. It’s never failed me yet!

  8. I L.O.V.E. knitting because I must always be creating something. With knitting I end up with a sweater that is very personal to me as I have either celebrated something good, thought through something that is bothering me or I’ve worked away stress during the knitting process. For me, my knitting is a lifesaver… both to me and those I live with :))

  9. I love the meditative and calming process of knitting. Yarn is a delight the the eye and feels good in the hands. I enjoy the end product because I can use it or give it to someone who will appreciate it.

  10. I love knitting because when I have needles in my hands it’s too hard to get food in my mouth!

  11. There are so many things I love about knitting! I am so happy when I’m knitting, watching the colors and patterns emerge into a whole new article of clothing or cute crafty item. It keeps me calm and sane when the world goes crazy. I love thinking about the person I will be gifting to, or imagining wearing the finished item myself. I’m never bored when knitting, and I love the zen feeling I get when the yarn flows over the needles.

  12. I love knitting because of the tangible and beautiful end product. Since I do not sit still very well, it is a great way to fidget while spending time with my dear husband in the evening.

  13. I love knitting because it’s relaxing and I can create one of a kind items. Every piece has a personal touch.

  14. WhyI LOVE Knitting…because I love the silky, sensual feel of yarn as it flows through my fingers unto my knitting needles creating something beautiful to be shared with those I love or to be worn by me!

  15. I love knitting because it’s an activity, that I can practice even being still, of Laozi’s teaching that “A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.”

  16. Why do I love knitting? Let me count the ways. It is relaxing. It is fun. It is creative. It creates beautiful things for me to wear and share. It is the continuation of an art form from generation to generation. It keeps my mind busy, when I want it to, and it just keeps me company otherwise.

  17. For many reasons, but one would be that no matter how many projects are on the needles or in the queue, I always find another to add!

  18. I love to knit because it relaxes me, de-stresses me, makes me feel accomplished, and I love to create. I love the feel of the yarn through my fingers as I knit. So, pick me :)

  19. I love knitting for a multitude of reasons: Diagnosed with an ongoing illness, knitting gives purpose and appreciation of this art from family and friends… It is soothing to create something that others want… it is relaxing and makes me feel I am still a productive person… i loved it before I became ill…and now it brings much more meaning to me!

  20. I love knitting because it has all the elements I crave, color, texture and creativity

  21. I have loved knitting ever since I tried to knit a bikini on pencils because I didn’t have any needles! Also because when you knit something, there is love in every stitch!
    Happy Valentine’s Day xoxoxoxo

  22. I love knitting because it challenges me. It forces me to creatively solve problems when I don’t quite get the pattern right. It keeps me cozy and warm. It soothes my soul when I am troubled. It helps me be more flexible when things aren’t going quite right. It just makes everything better.

  23. I love knit because it is relaxing, a good de-stresses, and a way to be creative. I love the feel of the yarn through my fingers and the sense of accomplishment I feel when I finish a project or learn a new stitch/ technique.

  24. Because it relieves stress, and lets me show love to my husband by making him hats and scarves.

  25. I love knitting because it takes my mind off of other things and in the end I have a beautiful thing to wear.

  26. The art of knitting is my therapy, my pride, and passion – learning each new stitch, finishing each project gives me great confidence. All of the colors and textures add to my creativity. Moving each stitch from needle to needle is soothing. love it.

  27. I love knitting because it is relaxing and it is such a feeling of accomplishment when I finish a project.

  28. I have always loved knitting – since I was 4 years old -and now -I am 64 – and still knitting!!

  29. Knitting is my happy place. It is my connection with the past, my endorphins in the present, my entry to the future. I love everything about it….petting my yarn and letting it age sufficiently to knit, creating something beautiful and useful and fun for myself and for others. Knitting is just a way of life for me, and there isn’t an activity that I’m about to transition to that my husband turns to me and asks, “do you need to finish the row?” On my gravestone, I want it to read, “She finished the row.”

  30. I ♥♥Love KNitting Because I love to see all the pretty things that emerge from a skein of yarn…

It also keeps me Busy and off the Streets :)

  31. Why I love knitting, let me count the ways……the colors, designing, the math, the serenity I feel when I sit down and start knitting, the interaction I get when knitting with friends……too many more to list!!
