Monday Morning Mirth
Now don’t get me wrong. I LOVE my pizza and eat it any chance I get! (Walking around Manhattan at 2 in the morning with a folded slice just could be heaven…)
But I almost was unable to continue writing this post once I found evidence of a trend in pizza edgings that knows no bounds! Check out these Asian versions:
Order some right off the Japan Pizza Hut site using this Menu! Most start at ~2,000 yen+ (how about the Mentai & Potato? or something called the Gorgeous 4?
PizzaJack: a blogger more intrepid than I BAKES A Stuffed Crust wonder…
what’s on YOUR pizza?
Sadly I can’t eat much pizza due to lactose intolerance. I do like a cheeseless pizza with lots of sauce, olives and bacon.
That’s crazy! The Hut Japan version is much prettier than the homemade one (way too graphic for my comfort) . . . but maybe they should’ve had Sumo wrestlers demonstrating, you know, from a ‘truth in advertising’ point of view. Lol!
I’m looking forward to trying this, personally: http://smittenkitchen.com/2008/04/jim-laheys-pizza-bianca/
So, at the end of that Japanese pizza hut commercial are they keeling over dead, or what?
ROFL.
That is some pizza! Makes me reconsider my belief that pizza is the perfect food.

I’m SO GLAD we didn’t run into that particular pizza while we were just in Japan. But seriously, they do some mad mad mad things with hot dogs there. Really.
You are so right about the Hot Dog Multi-Tasking!!!
Okay, that was a hot dog in the crust, right? Woah!!!
Reminds me of ordering a slice (Pizza Hut, I think!) while in Germany; I thought it was sausage and it ended up being tuna fish! Yeah, not a great surprise… :)
NY Pizza, yum.. And sorely missed in Chicago.
Make mine (in NY) a white clam pie.
