Earlier this year, my good friend and spinning goddess Vera Videnovich was at YarnCon with all of us, showcasing her wonderful wares from the Farm. I got some scrumptious hand-spun plant-dyed wool yarn from her but it wasn’t bulky enough for the project I had in mind so I asked her to ply it together for me.

Vera uses natural plant materials to dye her wool and it is always gorgeous! Tonight I get to go pick up my lovely chartruese *gold* and visit with Vera in a very fun place!

From 7 am to 7 pm today, Jamba Juice is holding a Knitfiti Event at their 20 N Michigan store to celebrate the launch of their new hot steel cut organic oatmeal and they’re going to deliver this to lots of folks in Chicago’s non-profit community as well as they work in this cold, cold holiday season! Rock on JAMBA!!!

Vera is going to be at the store, spinning and being part of the fun and since it’s right around the corner from my dayjob, I’ll be popping in after 3 for some oatmeal and knitfiti fun!

Jamba is going to leave the knit goodness up through the holiday season as their excellent decorations so if you can’t make it come in and have a peek!

Here’s a coupon for you so you can get that new oatmeal for a buck!!!!

Two of my favorite things: yarn and good old-fashioned oatmeal — can’t beat it! See you there :)
