Monday Morning Mirth
It’s been very exciting downtown lately; there’s limos everywhere!
Nothing, and I mean nothing, beats teenagers puttin’ on the ritz 2009 style. Here’s a fashion show of new and exciting looks for the ballroom…
Send me a picture of yours if you dare…
As I went to an girls’ school and we had no prom, I’m safe. My daughter, however, is not. She “let” me make her dress from Vogue (Iforgetthenumber). The two-tone idea is completely hers.
And here she is in the dress, Cleo the Prom Queen
They have *got* to be kidding?! Those models are supposed to represent 16-18 year-olds?! I never looked that sexy, even in my wedding gown. LOL! My prom was 40 years ago; I wore a white peau-de-soie gown that my mother made for me; I think it was a Vogue pattern. It was beautiful — with a matching ruffled stole. Long white gloves and white pumps completed the outfit. I wore it again a year or two later at a faculty dance in university. Alas, I don’t have a photo of it in my computer…and can’t figure out how to attach one of me in the wedding gown…
I thought so too, and even this little vid was the tamest I could find. There are some MUCH racier garments out there targeted at teens and but of course, I blame Britney & LiLo for setting the pace.
The dresses are beautiful! What is the music in the background?
Ah, yes, Coldplay! By the way, I just finished my first CeCe and I loved making it. Thanks.
