Now, it’s a little embarrassing.
I go to take a quick shot of the mess state of my living room and there it is.
Mixed in with all the strewn about sweaters, books, shoes, etc littering up the hut (sheesh, thought I’d kicked all that stuff out-of-frame!): my copy of OK! magazine with the Twilight kids gazing into each other’s eyes.
I admit it! I’m a total fanGrrrl!
I can’t even remember when I bought this but it must’ve been when I was captive in line at the grocery store. For those of you not *lucky* enough to live in a bulging metropolis, buying groceries can be a huge chunk of one’s life. If you go about your chores at the wrong time of day, you will be in line, behind, hmm, 30 other people, 10 lanes across, baskets bulging, many, many, in a rag-mag coma. Just like me…
“Romantic Dinners in Italy (ENVY!)!” “Kissing in Public (oooooh!)” “Rob & Kristen’s secret struggle to ADMIT their true feelings…(always my problem TOO)”
What I’m not struggling about, I admit, again, I am a fanGrrl! (Hey, does GRRL have two or 3 r’s, I can never remember…)
And even a fanGrrl has to keep warm and fashionable in the face of the exciting miserable changing weather we’re starting to have in Chicago…
So I dove into the Other Stash, my Sweater Stash, and out comes some knitted jacket action. These are prototypes that have now outlived their samply usefulness and have been pleasurably re-incarnated as My Personal Wardrobe.
I’ve especially enjoyed wearing the grey one, a prototype for YANK, my design for a trad Pea Coat. That’s what’s being recreated in navy as my current fave WIP…
Those are some yummy sweaters!
hee hee. I sometimes enjoy my time in line perusing the trashy mags.
