Imagine being part of a creative COLLECTIVE with almost 40 people knitting the same garment!!!
That’s the AUDREY KnitAlong over at Theresa’s Keyboard Biologist Laboratory – she, Morgan, Lis and the fabulously talented Becky, have put together one of the most innovative experiences yet: a multiple person blog that gives everyone the oppurtunity to share their creative adventures ALL IN THE SAME PLACE! This spectacular (and really elegant) space is powered by the one and only leading personal publising software, MovableType.
I am so excited, I’m drinking coffee and eating SPECIAL CHOCOLATE: a scrumptious handmade TERRAPIN from Margie’s Candies on Western Ave. Imagine tons of the most buttery carmel surrounding loads of huge pecans dipped in the finest milk chocolate. It’s melting on my tongue right now.
As soon as I’m done wafting outrageous here, I’m going to go swatch for my own entry in the Audrey Nation.
ADDING to my PERSONAL EXCITEMENT is the fact that I’ve installed MovableType at ChicKnits this weekend and this is the first official entry in my new digs. MT is an incredible piece of coding genius – it took me a few tries to get it to seamlessly blend into my site – but VOILA! I’m there!

I LOVE the Audrey knitalong site. It’s so so cool. I love what I learned about color from Theresa’s post! I am not at all sure I’ll be knitting Audrey, but I am definitely planning on following along (and mostly likely be persuaded in the end, LOL).

Excellent rendition of MT to a pre-designed site. Very seamless and beautiful. I like the new comments page. A friend just redid my site in MT and it looks delightful. This program can be twisted and tweaked six ways to Sunday.
Do you know what is so fabulous about Moveable Type? It provides an RSS feed automatically, which means I can now see if ChicKnits has updated from my LiveJournal friends page. :)
I wish everyone used Moveable Type. Or LiveJournal. I’m not picky. *laugh*
