  1. I’m making one right now out of Cotton Fleece – yum!

The TLC? I think a little too heavy for this pattern – it is really almost an Aran weight – I disagree with its labeling. I made a sweater from it last year and it can go to 18/24.

  2. I am totally in love with CeCe and just might head to the LYS to get some thing suitable as there is no DK in my stash. It’s a must knit for summer!

  3. Fabulous pattern, my dear!

I have several of those yarns in my stash, though they are supposed to be for other projects. Then again, it’s always good to have an excuse to buy more!

    I feel a reshuffle coming on…

  4. Love it!!!

But….are you a very loose knitter????

I’ve swatched with several yarns now and can’t close to gauge on the size 7 needles, had to go up to a size 9 with the Rowan Calmer and the fabric was so “flimsy” feeling. I know it’s lace, but should the gauge swatch in stockinette be “lacy” as well??

Heading to the LYS to see what I can find!

  5. The Calmer: I am an average tension knitter. The fabric in mine wasn’t flimsy – but Calmer does makes a soft knit. Rowan patterns always have you start with a size US 8 needle, so maybe using a different type of needle can tame that gauge – Inox Teflons are great. Or Bamboo? The Calmer was totally out of control for me with Addis the time I tried to knit the Audrey sweater with it.

  6. I found some luxuriously soft light worsted Pima cotton / baby alpaca blend yarn that I just love: Catalina – 60% Baby Alpaca / 40% Peruvian Pima Cotton!

Great color selection and soft hand.

  7. I think the fact that I have just enough Butterfly Super 10 for this project should be a sign. I have a feeling I’d get a lot more use out of CeCe than I would for the project I actually bought it for. Hmmm.. I wonder what I could wear with a deep fuschia version of CeCe :-)

  8. A designer who makes beautiful creations AND suggests alternate yarns? I think I may be faint with joy. Bonne Marie, you rock my world. :)

  9. ohhh, I have some Provence….didn’t want to buy yarn but if I have enough, this would be a great project for the Provence.

  10. that’s a lovely pattern, and a nice photo of your stash diving results! But I have always been a sucker for pictures of other people’s stash!

  11. Thank you, I have some King Tut in my stash that I can use. Can’t wait to get started. It is such a lovely pattern, Bonne Marie.

  12. Just finished another one of yours – Scoop du Jour – and I love it. Got the CeCe pattern this morning and just ordered the pale pink Kool Kotton I intend to use. Can’t wait to get started.
    thanks again

  13. Another great design! Thanks for all of the substitutions… I think I need to do some stash diving!

Hope you are well, Bonne Marie!

  14. How is it that you continually get into my head and design exactly what I’m looking for? I’ve been wanting a lacy little sweater, nothing too frou-frou, pretty, flattering and most of all, entirely wearable with jeans or a skirt.

And then BAM – you go and offer it to me for a measly 5 bucks! Bonne Marie, you’re a wonder. Just don’t tell anyone else what’s in my head while you’re in there figuring out what I need next. :)

  15. Love the new design, Bonne! I’ve been in a bit of a knitting funk, and I think this is just what the doctor ordered.

  16. I swatched KnitPicks “Shine” for this pattern, and I think it will work well. It’s a sport weight (22 sts = 4 in) with a nice matte-sheen (oxymoron?), and it still looks very nice and stayed soft even after machine washing and drying of the swatch. I’m making CeCe for my 13-yr-old granddaughter, so will make the smallest size at the Shine gauge and that will be just right for her. Good design and well-written pattern!
