Monday Morning Mirth

From vintage, to traditional, and everything in between, the wedding of the D&D of Cambridge was filled to the brim with amazing chapeau.

It was inevitable, early riser that I am, that the big screen would be turned to the festivities, but even I, in my black velvet jammies, tiara and tea, at 5am Chicago time, had to steady on with some of the looks on the Westminster red carpet!

And even though the amazing P. Beatrice’s lark of a hat raised a multitude of eyebrows, no doubt in attaching deep meaning & symbolism to the style (GaGa? Octopus? Swan? Bow?), I raised my cup and toasted them all!

“Here’s to the prettiest, here’s to the wittiest, Here’s to the truest of all who are true, Here’s to the neatest one, here’s to the sweetest one, Here’s to them, all in one – here’s to you!”

  1. It is an interesting hat collection and interesting that you were able to get them onto your blog. The wedding was like a fashion show.

  2. I was fascinated by the headwear! I am not cure that I could have dealt with a lot of those hats, and how the heck do they make those hats stay on at such an angle, and in the wind?!
