Monday Morning Mirth
It’s getting warm in here and that means one thing in Chicago:
time for our annual summer fashion public service announcement!
We were downtown yesterday on a photo shoot (of course, we’re shooting fall clothing on the year’s hottest day to date!) and we noticed a re-occurring theme on more than one visitor.
So, in the interest of public safety everywhere, we ask you, gentle reader, thumbs up?
Or, thumbs down on this trend!?
…and remember: good friends don’t let good friends, etc, etc, etc…
Amen.
No way.
shudder
Just saw one today on the UW-Madison campus. Ugh!
heh. i posted this on my facebook status the other day: who thought it was a good idea to bring the romper back for adults?
def. thumbs down!
most definitely thumbs down.
Oh so thumbs down! Have you ever tried to use a public restroom wearing one of these? You have to get completely undressed! Not too awful if the stall door is taller than you by a bunch (very scientific measure, the bunch), but if the doors are short you’re showing ALL the goods. Grow up, gals!
Yuck.
Complete thumbs down!
First off – that “lady” needs to eat because she looks positively dreadful. Gaunt is not sexy. Secondly, bubble suits belong on babies… just another reason why I have taken to making a large majority of my clothing – the fashion industry is obviously off it’s collective trolley.
Definitely a thumbs down!
heh. I just noticed that in the picture above, the lady is wearing flip flops (flats). Most of the Adult Romps I’ve seen in Chicago, the wearer has been sporting high platform sandals. Even more treacherous!
No — although my teenage daughter disagrees with my opinion. IMO, you have to be young and look good in anything to wear a romper, and even then, you’d be better off in something else.
This is one of those sad fashion statements of the early seventies…That should stay in the seventies! I wore rompers in high school, because I was young and silly and didn’t know any better!
Definitely thumbs down! I’m 22 and built a lot like that model (except I’m this way genetically, so I’m … y’know, healthy and not starved), but I still wouldn’t be caught dead in that.
So many of the things that are trendy right now are just … why? Like leggings as pants. And oversized shirts with dolman sleeves. And this.
So very definitely thumbs down, unless you are under the age of 2. Truly awful.
Yuck! No way.
Thumbs down. Definitely.
Dear me, what is she thinking? Thumbs down. . .
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
