Pattern: Chic Knits *CeCe*
Designer: Bonne Marie Burns
Yarn: Rowan *Calmer*
Color: Coffee Bean #481
Gauge: 20 sts/28 rows over 4″
Needles: #8

WHOOT! My 3/4 length sleeve CeCe is FINI! A special happiness fills the house when an FO hits the Runway @Chez Chic! If only there was some way to knit faster – I got such a lust for clothes – I stash dove last night and found a bag of DK Patons Cabled Merino in Black – am going to do another one in Black – oh no, are the Holiday engines revving up?

I am totally lusting after Black Wool Sweaters. I know I’ve been threatening to knit a black Aran for over a year – seeing Emily’s oh-so-FAB black one at the Dulaan Knit-In put me over the top! But I need a little something for the holidays too – so another CeCe is ON. Number 4. I’m crazy in love. And CeCe needs these boots for walking

I actually had a picture of me wearing this then I forgot and re-formatted my CF card to do a shoot and POOF! Oh well – when I’m all fancied up and out for some flash metro soir

  1. I’d put CeCe away until next Spring…but seeing her in that lucious dark chocolate…
I’m with you about the black sweater.
I’m presently working on a gift Ariann and am planning to mine in black.
But a dark chocolate CeCe might make it onto the needles in the meantime.

  2. Oh, decisions, decisions…. Not sure if you’ve heard, but the Windy City Knitting Guild is doing a Chic Knits KAL starting in January. Of course, I signed up as soon as I found out. I’ve been trying to decide between Arianne and Cece for a few weeks now. This posting makes Cece pull out ahead (for now).

  3. Your sweater looks great! I am FINALLY on to the finishing of my Cece – I don’t know why this one took longer than expected but it appears to be fitting well – even unblocked. Mine is also a brown and I will send pictures soon!

  4. You can never, ever enough black sweaters. I have my own collection of black sweaters and when my mom died, I took hers, too. Long black sweaters with short skirts…short black sweaters with long skirts…long black sweaters with long skirst…short black sweaters with short skirts. The permutations and combinations (ahem) that you can put together with black sweaters and almost anything you can pull out of the closet..well, it’s almost endless. The woman who dies with the most black sweaters…wins!!

  5. CeCe is beautiful! I think I need to add it to my to-do list, definitely! I’m going to check your site to see what yarns will work. Hopefully I have something in my stash, as funds are a little tight at the moment, and ooh, ooh, me, too, on wanting to knit a black sweater! Maybe we should have a black sweater KAL. Then we can all commiserate about not being able to see the stitches! I swear I’m going blind.

  6. Have you forgotten your knitting machine?
I don’t know about doing an Aran on it, but I think you could do the CeCe pattern in pieces. It might seem slow at first to do lace on the machine, but overall I think it’s a touch faster. Or, I like to combine lace and stockinette stitch so I don’t get too fustrated, or too bored :)

  7. Hi Bonne Marie!

I can’t wait to knit CeCe! I LOVE it made w/Rowan Calmer and hope to do the same color coffee bean :-)

I hear you ~ if we could some way knit faster!!? So many great yarns and patterns out there to knit! I could sit/knit all day…if only I could?

    Thanks for being an inspiration!

    Happy Knitting!
