gettin’ the fash on over here…

ghost2.jpg

Fancy. Party. Shell.

The thin shiny ribbon parts blow-up every few inches with a gold glittery puff. Personal fireworks so to speak.

After it’s washed, they lay pretty flat, so there’s no invasion of the bobbles look to this just texture –

Hopefully, I’ll have enough yarn (and I use that term so loosely) to finish this – it is going fast but seems to eat up the yardage much quicker than the company line would suggest.

I’m aiming for a deep-scoop neck shell – with a very thin edge of gold (leftovers form another project) to finish the edge. I’ll scoop out the back to save yarn too – it’s depth TBD by the yardage count towards the end of the project. OH, to live dangerously…

  1. Every now and again a girl needs a little bling in her handknit wardrobe. The gold against the copper background is just lovely, and I’m imagining that it will make a wonderful shexy little holiday number.

  2. Oh, dear, length TBD… I did a project like this waybackwhen, I might have lived a little too dangerously and now it is a very funny looking crop top! Of course, I didn’t know about important things like GAUGE back then and it is wide enough to fit two of me. Looks like yours will be the right width and hopefully just the right length as well!

  3. Hi there Bonne Marie! I am a long time reader, but I do beleive this is my very first post. And post I must – the yarn is gorgeous, the shell will be gorgeous, and you will knock socks clean off when you wear it.

  4. Good luck with the yarn. In the even that you do (gasp!) run short, maybe you can do a top band and straps in a similar yarn? And maybe with that same similar yarn do a single row of single crochet around the bottom to tie it all together?
    Just an idea.
By the way, I see on the front page that you’re offering the fabulous Ribbi Pulli pattern to wholesalers.
What about the rest of us?!
    (Waiting…waiting…waiting…)
