Monday Morning Mirth
While I’m up in the northern Mitten, I’ve been routing around the house and came upon these three beauties.
Presenting, from 1962, a little trio of caps from a spread called “Three Cheers for Wool Hats!” by Coats and Clark.
From l. to r.: the Robin Hood Hat (with lovely oversized mondo sequins), Knitted Turban (trimmed with a lovely pin?), and the Bubble Hat (flatters *almost* anyone, according to the copy)…
Don’t be surprised if you spy one of these toppers on me tops this fall – but which one should I try?
I think the Robin Hood is the way to go.
Oh, I love them all. You could whip them up and have your choice throughout the long Chicago winter!!!
Robin Hood.
There is a certain cheerfulness about those mondo sequins. You’d know they were waving *HOWDY* whenever you turned your head…
You could totally rock that turban!
Three cheers indeed! Definitely Robin Hood – will look ripping with your new Derica Kane :) :) :) lol
I love the color matching of hat and “joolery” in the picture — as well as the completely unflattering sweaters–bet they were nylon LOL
The bubble is soo jackie “O”.
What’s that line from the Streisand/Redford movie theme “Memories”? Oh yes……”what’s too painful to remember, we simply choose to forget”!!!!
Turban. I’d wear it.
Bubble. Definitely. As someone else said, very Jackie O. Picture it in pale pink.
You know it’s allllll about the sequins.
The Turban. Definitely the Turban.
