Oh Happy (Holi)Days!! A new scarf jumps off the needles just in time for the party…
Here’s the Skinny Cowl (10 st version) I’ve been working on, modeled so you can see how such a simple thing can be such an awesome buddy!
Because it isn’t very wide and because it is quite long, it can wrap around the neck in a *custom* way to fit you and the garment you wear this with.
Because it is made of garter stitch, it has the quality to *shake hands* with its neighbors (Christmas Cheer!) and stay in place once it’s positioned.
When you make garter stitch with such big yarn, it’s sort of like Leggos — heh, like a jigsaw, the nubs slightly interlock.
What I like especially about this little number is the back of the neck, where a subtle layering takes place, building the width needed, as applied.
Function follows form in such a useful way!

THANK YOU so much, I hugz you (1,000,000)!
Hmmmm….you are making me rethink the cowl I put into time out because I didn’t like how thin it was. Hope you have a Merry Christmas!!
I lurv me skinnies!
They are very versatile — you can leave ’em long like a necklace indoors, then they sort of custom wrap over your coat neckline outdoors!
