One of my resolutions for the new year has come true!
Meet my new little friend, Le Shuttle.
This was my *door prize* at at random drawing at the company Xmas party and I have to say, I was one lucky dog. Not only did my hand fish out this iPod from Santa’s bag, but it is Green!
And now it is ready to roll on the #66 where I can listen to knitting podcasts whilst I knit and go merrily along.
For some reason, I was reluctant to put casts on my bigger iPod and never did it. So now, hundreds of episodes later, an entire Phenom has almost passed me by!
And although I’ve enjoyed many a cast at home, it just seems like a grand thing to do on the road so I’m sort of starting from Square one, a renaissance, so to speak.
Lucky for me, the Casters are still going strong and for my little Shuttle’s maiden voyage, I picked a few from the iTunes collection:

Definitely on my “to get” list! It’s all getting away so fast!
What a great door prize! Wow!
I love the Stash and Burn ladies, they have become my favourite podcast.
I agree! Stash & Burn is the best out there–informative, relevant and entertaining. I also just started with Knit Picks and Ready Set Knit. My favorite thing this winter has been to sit in my comfy chair with iPod after dinner and knit away! Enjoy!
I’ve got about 10-15 in my subscription list, but these are four of my favorites. It’s a purl, man is fun as are the other recommendations in the comments. I also like CraftLit to listen to books. What a great door prize!
Listening to knitting podcasts on my morning light rail commute is great! The only thing better is when I’m also knitting! Enjoy!
Good picks. I like purldiving–some episodes are very short, but also very funny.

I never could get into Podcasts, and I think it’s just because there are so many and I didn’t know where to start. I hope you’ll share your favorites! I’m so tired of watching Dr. Phil at the gym. :)
Ipods everywhere! Mine was stolen out of my car last night and now I’m iPod shopping. I’m thinking blue nano 3rd gen for the car/travel. Green is cute too though…
My favorite 3 are Cast-on, It’s a Purl Man, and Sticks and String. They are all very different and very relaxing and entertaining.
I enjoy all of those listed. Stash and burn is one of my faves. I love to listen to them. I load up my ‘pod (60G) with podcasts, no problem. Trust me, you don’t run out of room anytime soon with those big ones. That’s a cool little gift you won.
I wish YOU’D you a podcast!!
I just wanted you to know I received my prize. Thank you so much. I love the pattern and the yarn is lovely. As for the delay? I completely understand. I have the same issues here. And a Shuttle? How cool is that?
Last Saturday, I spent 8 hours listening to Podcasts on my shuffle. Knitted an entire sock while being inspired by all those that you have mentioned. Love it…however, my ears are a little tender from the buds, so I have to go get better ear thingys (highly technical term)…I swear it was the most relaxing 8 hours I’ve had in a long time. Its times like this that you praise the snow…..
I know! Those Buds are really weird for me too but I don’t know what else to use! People on my bus use *cans*, old fashioned super-size earphones like one would use in a recording studio.
Going from the intolerable to the ridiculous!
There has to be something in-between.
I did have fun shoveling our 9″ snowfall at 6 a.m. yesterday while listening to some casters. Le Shuttle is my Parka Pal :)
Yay, what a great gift! It looks very cool, posing with your spool of thread. Podcasts would be a great way to spend the time!
Hey, lady! You make my day!
Oh so green with envy. I want an ipod shuffle, they are the perfect size. You must have been extra nice this year.
