  Monday Morning Mirth

This flock of seagulls is learning to mind its p’s and phews, thanks to none other than a talented Border Collie!

Beaches all around the Great Lakes Area have enlisted the help of our furry friends to manage the naughty and nasty habits of the birds.

I’ve seen collie herding many times, mostly sheeps but not too long ago, saw one keeping an eye on a farmer’s little flock of geese who tried to stray and enjoy the Midway at the Laporte Co. Fair where they were standing under the Ferris Wheel…

  1. Golf courses in our area use dogs to herd Canadian Geese. Or at least chase them until the geese decide the golf course is no longer a friendly place to hang out.
