Great Day O’the Morning!
Columbus! Such a fine town, even if you are mainly looking at it through a hotel window (and from a convention floor). After setting up the booth on Friday, I was able to sneak away for some North Market pleasure: Vietnamese food and the famous Jeni’s Ice Cream (Queen City Cayennne, Grapefruit Hyacinth, and Lavendar Berry).
Being at the TNNA summer show is an indoor excursion extraordinaire; once it powers on, as an exhibitor, you are in place, like a rock on a river bed, waiting for the wash of retailers to flow down the stream.
Booth 163 is on the southeast side of the hall in a row that is Boutique heaven. I have wonderful neighbors: White Lies Designs, Bijou Basin Ranch, Buffalo Ranch, Namaste, Noni, CookieA, Unicorn Books. There are maybe 1000 exhibitors and it is so huge that most buyer’s walking the show have a gameplan to divide and conquer it in more easily manageable chunks. I’m not sure I could be a retail warrior in this arena — it is so big that I’d reach saturation at some point and just fall over. Many people work in pairs (or more) and survey and plot to narrow it down to their personal beelines.
It is poetry in motion…
And about that WIP? s.t.i.l.l.
but it’s getting more gorgeous by the minute…
The rush continues, Day 2.

Love your pieces! I’ve gotten several of the patterns – added to my “future projects” list! What is the fabulous yarn you’re using for this green vest?! I love the way it is subtlely changing color/intensity! Thanks!
I dunno whether I’m drooling more over your lovely vest, or your lovely iced cream…
Lovely WIP – the colorway and pattern are stunning together!
Hey, walk across the street and have a meal at Bucca. (I think that’s the name. It’s across from the place where the Bluejackets play hockey) It’s down in a basement type of setting–go downstairs for the BEST ITALIAN YOU’VE EVER EATEN!!!
So this means that you were in an extreme knitting spot for WWKIP Day! I forgot the show was this weekend. There you are close to White LIes (another great designer). How cool is that? By now the show is over so I won’t say break a leg. You must be exhausted!
Very cool indeed!!
It goes on for one more day — Monday — then it closes down. I’m more excited than exhausted — it’s really an adventure.
Hope the show was fun and successful! Will you ever be in New England?
I love that shade of green. It’s so wonderfully vibrant. I’m also jealous of the ice cream, even though I know I can probably recreate any flavor I can imagine (and actually have lavendar to make ice cream with). It’s the laziness in me wanting to just eat the ice cream without taking the time to make it.
