If it’s possible, I am more excited about going to the Maryland Sheep & Wool Festival, (May 1 and 2, THIS WEEKEND!) than any vacation in recent memory. Forget the fact that I haven’t taken a vacation that didn’t involve famObligations in the last couple of years, and just GO WITH the FACT that I’m leaving on a PLANE!
ME, and T and my little SockB are goin’ to the Coast – joining C & Leigh to become a Merry Band of Pranksters as only CITY GIRLS can when turned loose on a fairground with lots of Animal Barns.
Believe me, I know whereOf I speak!
I embarrassed myself to death last year at the Michigan Fiber Fest by thrilling to the sound of the different *VOICES* of the Baaaaing Sheep in the Sheep Shearing Competition Bldg.
I knew not they were so individual and kept pointing it out to the sheep owners who were kind enough to smile and nod at me!
Like people who love fiber everywhere, the joy is contagious and I’m a gonna get me some!

Ah, I’m so very very jealous! Have a fantastic time and pet some sheep for me, ok?
How clever is that graphic?
**WAY**
I’m jealous too.
Have a GREAT! time…can’t wait to read about your adventures next week.
Broadripple with Opal, you go girl…um can you post the pattern :) I know it lives at Knitty but with the Big ASS Fixation yarn, which I love, but I like the detail of a thinnner yarn, and I am not “Bonne” enough to rewrite the patttern. That sock looks AWESOME! SO when is your book coming out, I know there has to be one in the works, you are AMAZING! Oh and what does it mean to be “Bonne” – Fearless knitter, who can probably rewrite the construction of a boat with any weight yarn, and if she can’t find the pattern she likes, no problemo, she makes her own because that is how awesome she is, and her blog doesn’t suck either!
The broadripple graphic is a hoot!
I live in DC and have been an avid reader of chicknits for a long time. planning to go to Maryland Sheep and Wool for the first time on Sunday. you ought to think about designating a gathering place — i would love to meet you and am sure others would too.
Baah…bAah…BaAh…baAH…BAAH! That would be sheep for, “Have a great trip!”
Hey, Ricki! You are so kind! What will probably happen is that we will spontaneously sit right down somewhere and just whip out the needles and have a KIP RAVE!!!
I feel like walking around the Michigan Fiber Fest with a sign saying “Knitting bloggers, let’s get together!” even though I don’t blog. I do read a lot of blogs and love them. Wouldn’t it be fun to have a gathering point there?
