Miss-BB-3-5x7x72-6184

Here’s to the knitter’s starting a Miss BB KAL on in the Chic Knits Ravelry group today! Good knittin’! Good Speed!

Go check it out and join in if you’ve got this on the needles ;)

My little sweater is going on a trip in a couple of weeks — RHINEBECK!

Finally going to see the lovely Hudson Valley in all its Fall glory. I have wanted to do this for years, but something has always come up. This year, no more excuses!

But even though I’ve figured out what sweaters I’m going to take (and if what I read online is any indication, this is Always An Important Decision) I am clueless about what else to wear and bring?

Fest Veterans! Dress me please?!

  1. Oh how I would love to walk up to you there wearing my new Miss BB! You’ve just changed my whole thought process for October! :-)

  2. Oh how exciting! I think I’ll have to skip Rhinebeck, have a great time for me!

Make sure you have comfortable shoes that can get dirty, since most of the day is spent walking around and it is a fairground after all. Hopefully it won’t rain, but I would be prepared for it just in case. When I have gone in the past I’ve also carried around a list of patterns I’ve been thinking about with yarn weight and yardage. One year I even photocopied the front page of several patterns. This helps me stay focused and keeps me from wondering if I am buying enough yarn for that sweater I want to make.

  3. Hee! I’ve already packed my ditty bag with toothpaste, floss, tooth brush, hairbrush, ROLLERS, hair clips, bobby pins, lip gloss (and more powerful eye makeup if I feel the MUSE for liquid eyeliner magic), blush, soap, bandaids, allery pills (SHEEP-in-HAY!), etc.

There’s just something about being a City Girl and wearing a ton of makeup in a barn that appeals to me.

In the suitcase: umbrella, little fleece vest in case it’s cold. More to come.

Oh, and if anyone walks up to me in a Chic Knits sweater, I will faint with delight! (Then grab my camera :)

  4. Make sure you wear your own designs! That way, people will know that they have to get the pattern.
