Battle of the Network Mascaras!
My friend D went shopping the other day and was hooked into buying some new makeup. You know the riff, the siren song, the magnetic tracktor beam that pulls me into MAC or Bobbie Brown (love their lip gloss). (TMI).
Well D went for something by Stila they call “major MAJOR”. It came in a two-pack and she gave me one.
D hates it; I’m in love…
ANYTHING to lower the maintenance — a one swipe lash blast? I’m in! major Major’s brush looks to be 3 x the size of the BBrown mascara on the right.

Tinted moisturizer!
Clinique SuperBalm Lip Gloss in “Black Honey”!
My secret is wash, moisturize, go! Cant’ see to get mascara on anymore. Breaks my heart. I think.
I skip the makeup. Makes morning routine zippy fast!
I’m with technikat. I normally skip it, but now that I have a pretty new hair cut so I’ve been doing a bit more makeup. A tiny amount of foundation, a tiny tint of lipstick, and mascara. If I’m running out of time, just the mascara. My eyelashes are too light to frame my eyes well without it.
Eyelash curlers! That + mascara is the biggest bang for my buck. Add a little foundation and powder and I feel practically ready for the oscars.
Sunglasses
I use Dr. Brandt “Pores No More” pore refiner instead of foundation. It’s tinted and glides on as smooth as silk. A little powder on top and I’m good to go!
I’ve always loved Lancome mascaras but I will definitely give the Stila a try.
Tinted lip gloss. Also….when I bought my first magnifier mirror, you could hear my scream for blocks. Had I really been living my life with those hairs above my lip, and why didn’t my loved ones tell me???
Mineral Foundation and pencil eye liner.
