  1. WOW! You are the boss! Hats off to you. I have a few projects that need to be pushed in the downsizing direction! I will have to print that out NOW! Gotta try it, thanks!

  2. I have been pining after a serger for years–for sewing. But after reading the downsizing article, I’m wondering if it wouldn’t be useful for knitting too? Hmm…further evidence why a serger is needed.

    What do you think?

  3. Ooooh…how smart! I wouldn’t have dared to do such a thing, but since seeing your tutorials on downsizing how can one be so afraid of bossing your knitting around. We should all think like you…we are the CEO’s of our knitting and not the other way around. Period. ;)

    Thanks mucho!

BTW, I broke down and hunted down that book by Ira riley Duncan “Knit to Fit”, A comprehensive guide to hand and machine knitting and crocheting. They further describe it as a new, revised, and enlarged edition of “The Knitter’s Bible.” Cool.

I found it over at Alibris.com.(no connection). I think it is worth the money I paid for it and it definitely wasn’t the same kind of deal you got at ebay…not even close. I just had to have it. Makes me real happy to add it to my knitting library.

    Happy knitting!

  4. Thanks for the tips and pics. My Bastia sweater has grown on me (or I’ve shrunk a lot) too. I may just put mine through the machine as well. Especially now that I see how well it can turn out!

  5. Where did you get the pattern for the ruffled collar shell? Great instructions; thanks.

  6. Wow, that is impressive and inspiring! You look amazing in that ruffled tank. I had thought of doing something like this, but thought it would be sacrilege and/or stupid. Thanks for showing me it isn’t either! I’ve got just the thing that I want to add some shape to…and I’m going to try it!
