the b-Marie colorway
And, knitted up into the Ribby Pulli, Scout’s Swag became one of the most awesome garments ever – beautiful subtle gradiations – little or no pooling. Below you see, on top – the b-Marie colorway and on the bottom, Double Door.
All in all a most worthy first Runway Strut!
Thank You Scout!!!

We had a great time in Wicker Park shooting this series! You can see what our Runway is really all about – sidewalk, streetside, urban, chic.
Most of the Ribby Pulli pictures were shot in front of the Double Door Lounge (with its security *garage door* in place – even at 1pm – because its a Late Night kind of place). Ariann was shot in front of my old house on Schiller, right across from Wicker Park. CeCe – in the empty fountain in the park; the Felted Bucket Hat on the corner of North & Damen Sts.
Everything was a stone’s throw from the Blue Line Elevated train station.
…including this view of another take on the Ribby Pulli – a short-sleeved hooded version –
instructions also included in the pattern.
I LUV the kangaroo pocket! I am dying to get my hands on this pattern. These pics are great, very chic and urban, I think the whole thing compliments the patterns perfectly.
I love how you’ve morphed one pattern into so many different garments.
Love it! Is this pattern available only printed or are you going to have it available via download too?
This post reminds me how much I LOVE the hooded version — gotta gettit into the closet!
THANK YOU!!!
I love my City; I love its streets…
[The Ribby Pulli will be available only as a hard copy brochure…]
Love it — thanks Bonne!

I miss Chicago.
The sleeve length on the short-sleeve is making me buy the pattern.
What brand jeans is she wearing? They look great!
I love your new yarn/take on the old pattern. That’s the thing about knitting. Go back to favorites and reinterpret them. Love, love, love the shortsleeved version too. Well done!
Scout’s dyeing up some yarn for me now! I can’t wait for my own Ribby Pulli.
I liked the info about where you did the photo shoots – I think the pictures that I’ve seen look very professionally and nicely done. The model is beautiful and wears the designs perfectly.
If the Ribbi Pulli will only be available in hard copy, when/where can we buy it?
Couldn’t be more perfect. I’ll miss the convenience of the download though.
No thank YOU!
xo
Love the Ribby Pullover, and the yarn is fab! Can’t wait to make this beauty!

Love it. It is a shame you don’t have a Canadian store us Canucks can buy from, because the shipping costs are more than the pattern.
When you do, let me know = because I would LOVE to knit this sweater – both versions too.
I look forward to making this a lot! Now to decide which version I am going to make first…
I’m definitely going to have to have this pattern. It’s just beautiful B-M.

Ah! So, does that mean we have to get it from Scout? Or will you be offering it for sale here at Chicknits as well?
I’m more of a cardi gal, but I love this sweater, especially the shorter sleeve version. (hmmm… I can see adding a zipper to the front …)
I also like your taking something you’ve done before and changing it up. It’s definitely a classic!
ok, this confirms it… you are a knitting goddess! love love the ribby pulli, and *love* the hooded version!
i just finally ordered a zipper for my black ribby cardi and just in time for a little cold spell too… you are keeping my needles busy :)
I love the pulli – how can your international fans get to own this pattern though? Will it really not be available as a download?
Wow. I love what the variegated yarn did in that sweater, and the pulli looks so current, I’d be proud to wear it. Great work!
Thanks so much! I loved the whole process of this, from start to finish and it was fun to write about, too, with Scout.
The Pattern is being distributed by other vendors exclusively – think local yarn store – or in Scout’s case, online store – as a hard copy brochure.
If you’d like to see it in your LYS, ask them to email me at patterns@chicknits.com and I’ll send them a catalog! :)
I love that little short sleeved number!
Another hit for Bonne Marie! Way to combine variegated yarns to make them work. My problem with sweaters in variegateds is they remind me too much of the sweaters I used to love to wear in 8th grade. But this is fabulous, breaking them up like that.
Please. Stop. Tempting. Me.
I HAVE the original Ribby Cardi on the needles now, in chocolate brown cascade 220 thank you v. much.
I HAVE CeCe first on the waiting list for spring knits in a lovely pink Calmer, that was once slated for Audrey, a knit fantasy if ever there was one.
AND, I have the yarn for Ariane, a lovely red in the now discontinued Rowan Magpie.
Design something ugly will ya. And stop tempting me.
When 2 great artists meet….
I currently have Ce-Ce on the needles working on the first sleeve. I’m loving the Ribby pulli and wanting to purchase the pattern. Am fairly new to your site and would like to know how to find this pattern. Don’t have real yarn shops close so I purchase online mostly.
