HA! There’s nothing I like better on a cold morning than a steaming cup of Coffee!

Scratch. There’s nothing I like better on a cold morning than a steaming cup of Coffee! That’s better. Let’s try again.

There’s nothing I like better on a incredibly crisp cold morning than a steaming cup of Coffee
served up with a
NEW VEST!

[Oh. Throw in a handful of peanut M&M’s and I’m gone hook, line, and sinker.]

One more thing – see the shirt under the Vest? Got it, Old Navy, pennies – waffle-knit thermal HOODIE! Olive Green. (and I got a burgundy one too!)

MODS to ze Pattern: tweaked the gauge from 1620 to 1722 for the Silk Garden yarn. Made the ribbing longer (to the first cable cross). The cable looks a lot more dimensional in person than in the picture – love that mirror-in-the-bathroom-effect and HEY! I cleaned the mirror first!

I like – it is warm, and cheerful and most of all, IT’s a VEST!

  1. Beautiful! How many skeins of Noro did it take? I’m asking because I’m looking for projects for Noro leftover skeins and am not up for the lovely Lizard afghan.

  2. Can’t wait to see all the Ribbi Pullis in Scout’s Swag yarn. A great dyer and a great designer put together, you can’t beat that!

  3. Ooo, might have to try that ~ and I think we’ll swing by ON on the weekend! Almost finished second Twist front, so I may wear it this season after all ~
Oh, can you ballpark how many Noro skeins it took?

  4. Thanks for the heads up regarding Old Navy! I just got home about $115 lighter – and 3 large shopping bags heavier! Now I have to get a vest finished!

  6. That vest turned out so well. I haven’t been a big Noro fan but this might just change my mind! I especially love the way the cables cross into the neckline. Cool!

  7. Ah, coffee and peanut M&Ms – definitely the Breakfast of Champions. Love the vest. Love the cable. Love the stipes (woohoo)and love the very creative, edgy use of the hoodie. Great stuff. As always.

  8. Now that’s something a Floridian can wear all the time too! Thanks for mentioning what’s under, I love Old Navy! Hey thanks for stopping by! I have a Scooby Doo that lives in my cube at work! Sometimes, my snacks go missing;)
