gimmee a WOO gimmee a HOO

multid.jpg

WooHoo! An FO! A weekend FO! This little scarf has been in the making since last year –

It seems like every once in awhile, on a weekend, I get a bug. The Startitis Bug. The Bug that will not let you go until you get something on the needles – something that probably will not ever get off the needles unless you catch the Other Bug.

The Finishing Bug.

I admit it. I’m a Clothes Whore. I LOVE NEW CLOTHES! So when I gleaned the Work Basket (ahem, my whole House) and found this half-finished scarf a few days ago, I just couldn’t resist. Problem was, the original was not knit right – so it was frogged, started as a Grinda Scarf, frogged again (!) and NOW has attained its rightful place – Around My Neck…

I love new clothes…

28 stitch MultiDirectional Scarf
Designer: Karen Baumer

  1. Fabulous, and it IS scarf weather. I have a real weakness for those multi-directional scarves and just bought some Lorna’s Laces worsted to do one.

  2. I was running around the last couple of days in freezing temps with just a turtleneck, heavy sweater, down vest, AND taduh, a scarf to Seal the Deal…

I truly believe The Scarf is the Key to being comfortable with less…

Not to mention the BURST of COLOR around one’s face… :PPPPP

  3. That is so pretty! The color changes of the Kureyon work so well with that pattern. Subtley interesting.

  4. Ms. Grinda: it just didn’t look how I expected it to in this colourway…

I will be making it in the near future out of some other yarn (TBA StashOmat)…

It is such a lovely, unusual pattern – can’t wait to see yours, Sarah! :)

  5. Hey, I have that pattern. Now that I see yours, I’ll be finally knitting it up. I had startitis even before I got the thing on the needles. Now, I’ve got got-to-start-it-itis! Very nice!

  6. Wow, I’m working on a multidirectional scarf now, with some Fiesta La Boheme. Its color effect is different but also fun. Yay MD scarves! AKA Dr. Scarf. There, I said it.

Sorry to miss the KIP! I was at work late. I do want to come again. Hope you had fun!

Off to try to catch your Finishing Bug!

  7. Woooo hoooooooooooo! F-A-B!

Now you inspire me to finish a few of my own knits, already. I love me some new duds :-)

  8. AHA! Something to do with those extra skeins of Kureyon!

    Thanks so much!

Now, if I could just figure out how to do it on my LK150! LOL!
